Candidate FAQ

What is involved in the application process?

We need to spend time getting to know you, your capabilities, skills and career goals. We accomplish this mostly over the phone. We truly enjoy and want to meet with you when that’s practical and possible.  What’s most important is maintaining an open line of candid and honest communication throughout the recruiting, interviewing and placement processes. Our goal is to serve everyone’s best interests – our clients, our candidates and IMC’s.

IMC Solutions performs reference checks with previous employers and other references provided by our applicants. Some clients will require you to also undergo a drug screen. These costs are absorbed by IMC Solutions or our clients.

How can I stay informed about open positions?

Some of our positions will be posted on our website. We also maintain a “hot job” line with a listing of positions we are currently filling. These two locations will list a portion of the jobs we have open, but are not necessarily a complete listing, so it is essential that you reach out to an IMC Solutions office to learn more. We also post jobs on many local and national job boards.  Contact us – we’d love to hear from you!

When I am on assignment with an IMC Solutions client, who is my employer?

Regardless of which IMC Solutions client you do work for, IMC Solutions is your legal employer or contracting vendor and you should contact an IMC Solutions Account Manager or Recruiter with any work-related issues.

What are my chances of being converted?

IMC Solutions offers every client the opportunity to convert any of our consultants. Conversion is never guaranteed. Whether it occurs depends on many factors including client budgets, approved headcount, your performance and other factors. We do everything we can to make it happen for you.

How long does an assignment last?

Assignments may range in length from a few months to an indefinite amount of time.

What happens if my assignment ends?

Sometimes assignments have natural conclusions and end-dates, as in short-term leaves of absence.  IMC Solutions Account Managers keep in close touch with clients to monitor end-dates about 30 days before the assignment is scheduled to end. Of course we will try to find that next assignment or job for you. If you’ve done a great job, we want to keep you employed!

What is the policy if I’m unable to report to work or will be in late?

You must notify IMC Solutions immediately if you will be tardy or unable to report to work. Please be sure to leave a voicemail message on our corporate voicemail system and your Account Manager or Recruiter.  You should also call your client manager and notify them as well.  Once we receive your message, we will immediately call the client manager.

When should I submit my timecard?

Electronic timesheets must be received by IMC Solutions by 10:00 AM on Mondays. If your timesheet is late, your pay may be deferred to the following week.

When can I expect to be paid?

IMC Solutions payroll is bi-weekly, on every other Friday. Your actual first pay date will depend on when you started during our payroll process.

What is the Referral Bonus program?

Referral Bonuses are paid to any IMC Solutions employee or consultant (currently working) who refers an applicant or client that turns into business for us.  There are rules and conditions, so please contact your IMC representative for full details.
